As a special fundraising event to open the new temporary exhibit at the Midland County History Museum, the Midland Historical Society is hosting the Art of Magic show, presented by magician Bronson Chadwick. This large-scale magic show features classics of magic such as Floating in the Air and other masterpieces all topped with humor and a bold soundtrack for all ages. llusionist and Sleight-of-Hand Artist Bronson Chadwick has entertained audiences commercially for over fifteen years. He specializes in theatrical presentations of magic for corporate events, event centers, colleges, and similar groups. When not on the road presenting his larger theatrical programs, Bronson can be found working with various nonprofits and educational organizations through his Magic in the Library Initiative which uses magic illusions to help teach readership skills to elementary students. The magic show will open the History of Magic in West Texas exhibit. Developed specifically for the Midland Historical Society from Chadwick’s private collection this exhibit features state illusion props and other paraphernalia used by magicians in West Texas across the past decades. This is a rare opportunity to view a little-known aspect of Midland history. The exhibit will remain on display at the Midland County History Museum for three months and can be seen during regular museum hours. There is no fee to view the exhibit. All the proceeds from The Art of Magic event will go to support the work of the Society for the development of the museum.
